The program

Is the whole program really free? What's the catch?

It's really free, and not just the application. There's no tuition, deposit or income-share agreement, and nothing to repay if you leave or get a job. You'll never be asked for a card by us. Your costs are your time, your own laptop and internet, and one AI agent subscription you pay to the provider (see below).

How does Gantt Guild make money, then?

Employers pay us. When a company hires a graduate it met through Gantt Guild, it pays us a flat placement fee once that person starts, much as it would pay a recruiter. Some also pay for Graduate Support, 6 to 12 more months of training for their new hire, and we run training for companies' existing teams. Students never pay us anything.

Will the employer's fee hurt my chances of getting hired?

We've set it up so it shouldn't. The fee only applies to companies that met you through us, and only for six months after they did; if you find a job on your own, nobody owes us anything. You can apply anywhere and accept, turn down or leave any job without our permission. Employers agree never to charge you any part of the fee, lower your pay because of it or make you sign a stay-or-pay agreement. And if a company ever tells you the fee is in the way, ask them to talk to us: we'd rather waive a fee than cost you a job.

What makes this different from an online certificate?

You don't watch videos and take quizzes. You run four projects through a full fiscal year and produce 129 real deliverables (charters, RFPs, purchase requests, schedules, earned value reports, change orders, incident reviews, specs, SQL queries) in the tools companies use, and your work is reviewed live every Friday. You also cover the MBA core and learn Python, SQL and how to supervise an AI agent.

Can I leave the program?

Yes, at any time and for any reason. Write to students@ganttguild.com. There are no penalties and nothing to pay back.

Can I take a job before I finish?

Please do. That's why Career Days happen in weeks 9 and 17 as well as week 26. If your new job allows, you can keep attending.

Will I get a certificate?

You'll get a Gantt Guild certificate of completion and a portfolio employers can open. The program also prepares you for PMI's CAPM exam. Its live instruction is well beyond the 23 hours of project management education PMI asks for, but Gantt Guild isn't a PMI Authorized Training Partner, so check PMI's current rules before booking. Employers can confirm completion through admin@ganttguild.com.

Eligibility

Who can apply?

Anyone 18 or older who lives in the United States and is legally authorized to work there, and who can give 20 to 25 hours a week. We especially welcome people with a college degree or equivalent experience, career returners, career changers, and people who left college early.

Do I need a degree?

No. A degree is welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts, and self-taught people are eligible. We look at what you've organized, delivered and learned.

I've been out of work for a few years. Is this for me?

Yes. Career returners are one of the groups we built this for. The program gets you current on tools and AI quickly, and gives you recent, concrete work to talk about in interviews.

Do you sponsor visas?

No. You need to be authorized to work in the US already. We can't sponsor visas, and we can't promise any employer will.

I need an adjustment to apply or take part.

Write to accessibility@ganttguild.com and tell us what you need. We'll work it out with you.

Time and format

When does the program start?

Cohort 1 is planned to start in the first week of December 2026. We'll confirm the exact date by email before it begins.

How much time does it take?

20 to 25 hours a week for 26 weeks: about 6 hours of live sessions and the rest reading, building and labs on your own schedule.

When are the live sessions?

In US-friendly hours, set per cohort before it starts. We share detailed notes after every session.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Python starts from installation in week 1, and SQL in week 9. By the end you'll use code to answer project questions and automate a status report, which most junior PMs can't do.

Tools and costs

Do you provide accounts for the tools?

No. You create your own accounts, mostly on free plans, plus free developer accounts and trials in the weeks that need them. Setting up your own workspace is part of the training. The tools page lists every tool and how you get access.

Why do I need Claude Code or Codex, and what does it cost?

Every week has an agent lab: an AI coding agent does a first draft (a query, a schedule, a term sheet) and you find what it got wrong. You need one of two: Claude Code, included with Claude Pro from Anthropic, or Codex, included with ChatGPT Plus from OpenAI. Each is about $20 a month, paid directly to the provider, so about $120 over six months. It's the program's only paid item, and we never receive any of it.

What equipment do I need?

A laptop that can run a modern browser and Python (Windows, macOS or Linux; a Chromebook won't run the labs), reliable internet, a webcam and a quiet place to talk.

What about tools that companies pay for, like Coupa or Workday?

Nobody gets a personal account for those. You work through the book's real documents and walkthroughs for each system, then reproduce the work in free tools, so you can speak to them in interviews.

After you apply

What happens after I apply?

A person reads your application, and you'll hear from us by email within 7 days either way. If you're shortlisted, we'll invite you to a short conversation.

Do you guarantee a job?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. We promise serious training, a portfolio worth showing and access to employers at three Career Days. The hiring decision is always the employer's.

For employers

What does it cost to hire a graduate?

Career Days are free to attend. If you hire a graduate you met through us, you pay a flat $5,000 once they start, invoiced on their start date. It isn't a percentage of salary, there's no retainer, minimum or exclusivity, and if they leave within 90 days the fee becomes a credit toward your next hire. The details are in our Employer Terms.

What is Graduate Support?

Optional training and coaching for the person you hired, for 6 to 12 months after they join: weekly training alongside the job, monthly coaching on your tools and methods, and manager check-ins with a written progress note. It starts at $8,000 per graduate.
