Gantt Guild

Tools and accounts

GitLab's own tools. Your own accounts

You'll work in 47 tools: 33 that GitLab's public handbook documents, plus the ones other companies run on. You create every account yourself. Here's each tool, what you'll do with it, how you get access and which weeks use it.

How access works

  • Free planYou create your own free account.
  • Free dev accountFree developer or sandbox account.
  • Free trialUsed during the weeks that need it.
  • WalkthroughEnterprise-only. Studied through the book's full walkthroughs and real documents, then reproduced in free tools.
  • ~$20/moYour one cost, paid to Anthropic or OpenAI, never to us.

Three rules

  1. We don't hand out accounts. Setting up your own workspace, permissions and integrations is part of the job, and you'll do it again at every employer.
  2. Start trials when the week arrives. Trials run for a limited time. The syllabus tells you which week needs which trial, so you never waste one.
  3. Enterprise-only tools are studied, then reproduced. Nobody gets a personal Coupa or Workday. You work through the book's real documents and walkthroughs for those systems, then reproduce the work in free tools.
