What we collect when you apply or contact us, why we collect it, and how to see, change or delete it. Written to be read, not skimmed past.Effective October 29, 2026
Who we are
Gantt Guild (“Gantt Guild”, “we”, “us”) runs a free project and product management training program and this website, ganttguild.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, write to privacy@ganttguild.com.
What we collect
When you apply to the program, we collect what you type into the form and the file you upload: your name, email address, phone number (optional), city (optional) and state, whether you live in and are authorized to work in the United States, whether you can commit the required hours, your education, field of study, work experience and current situation, how you heard about us, your written answers, your LinkedIn profile address (optional) and your resume.
When you contact us as an employer, we collect your name, work email, company, title, company size, what you're interested in, the roles you're hiring for and your message.
When a company hires one of our graduates it met through us, we receive and record the graduate's name, role and start date from the company, so we can invoice it under our agreement with it.
When you apply for a job with us by emailing careers@ganttguild.com, we receive your email address, your resume or CV, the links you send and anything else you choose to include.
When you email any of our addresses, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.
When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so the site can be delivered and protected from abuse. We don't use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Please don't send sensitive information we haven't asked for, such as government ID numbers, health details or financial account details.
How we use it
- To review your application, decide on admission and contact you about it.
- To run the program for admitted students: classes, coursework, feedback, certificates and Career Days.
- To introduce students to employers at Career Days, only for students who choose to take part.
- To consider job applicants for roles at Gantt Guild.
- To reply to employers and organizations, provide the services they ask for, and invoice placement fees when they hire a graduate they met through us.
- To keep the website and our systems secure, and to comply with the law.
- To understand, in aggregate, who applies and how we can make the program better.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We don't make admission or hiring decisions by automated means alone: a person reads every application.
Our legal basis
We process your information because you've given us your consent by submitting a form or emailing us, and because it's necessary to provide what you asked for (assessing an application, running the program, considering you for a job or replying to an inquiry). You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect processing that happened before you withdrew it, and we may no longer be able to consider your application.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run Gantt Guild. They process information only on our instructions:
- Supabase stores application and employer form data and uploaded resumes. Our Supabase project is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
- Netlify hosts this website.
- Our email provider handles messages sent to and from our addresses.
- Unsplash serves some of the photographs on this site, so your browser connects to Unsplash's servers when those images load.
Tools you use in the program. Students create and control their own accounts with the tools used in the program (for example GitLab, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Atlassian and Microsoft tools) and with the AI provider they choose (Anthropic or OpenAI). Those providers process what you put into them under their own terms and privacy policies, not ours. We don't create these accounts for you or receive your login details.
Employers. We share a student's portfolio, resume or contact details with an employer only when the student has chosen to take part in a Career Day or has otherwise agreed. Employers who receive this information agree to use it only to consider students for work, keep it confidential and delete it when they no longer need it.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our legal rights, or as part of a reorganization or sale of Gantt Guild, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
International transfers
Gantt Guild's team works from India and the United States, our database is hosted in the European Union, and our website is served globally. By using the site and our forms, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in these countries, which may have data protection rules different from those where you live. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it's processed.
How long we keep it
- Program applications that aren't accepted: up to 24 months, so we can consider you for a future cohort, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Admitted students: for the length of the program and up to 3 years afterwards, so we can confirm your completion to employers and stay in touch with alumni.
- Job applicants: up to 12 months after the role is filled, unless you ask us to delete your application sooner or we hire you.
- Employer inquiries: for as long as we have a working relationship, and up to 3 years afterwards.
- Hiring and invoice records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
We delete or anonymize information when we no longer need it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
How we protect it
Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection. Resumes are kept in private storage that the public can't read or list, and the database only allows the website to add new submissions, not read them. Only the Gantt Guild team can access applications. No system is perfectly secure; if you think something has gone wrong, write to security@ganttguild.com straight away.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information or your application;
- withdraw your consent, or stop contacting you.
Write to privacy@ganttguild.com from the address you used with us, and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
US residents. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or others with consumer privacy laws), you may have additional rights. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require an opt-out.
India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may contact our grievance contact below and, if you're not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
The program and this website are for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Cookies
This website doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical measures to deliver the site securely. Fonts are hosted on our own site, so no font service receives your information.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll take reasonable steps to tell applicants and students directly.
Contact and grievances
Privacy questions, requests and complaints go to our grievance contact at privacy@ganttguild.com. We'll acknowledge your message promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days. Other departments are listed on our contact page.
