Product and engineering
Full Stack Developer
Build and run everything our students, graduates and employers touch: this website and its application pipeline, the tools behind Career Days, and the datasets and automations students learn from.
About the role
Gantt Guild runs on a small set of systems that have to work every time: the website and application pipeline, the tools employers use to meet graduates, the records that keep placement fees accurate, and the labs students build against every week. You'll own them end to end, with an AI agent as your pair and the founder reviewing your work.
It's a full stack role in the plain sense: you'll design the data model, write the API, build the interface and ship it.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain ganttguild.com and the application pipeline on Postgres and Supabase, with row-level security done right.
- Build the employer side: Career Day sign-ups, portfolios that graduates control, and an introductions log that keeps placement fees accurate and graduates' choices free.
- Build internal tools for cohort rosters, review scheduling, portfolio publishing and Career Day logistics.
- Generate the lab datasets for the program's four projects (issues, costs, events and incidents) and the automations students learn from, such as GitLab API scripts and Slack webhooks.
- Use Claude Code or Codex every day, and review what it writes the way a maintainer would.
- Write things down: READMEs, runbooks and short decision records.
Your first 90 days
- 30 daysShip fixes to the site and forms, and add CI checks for links, accessibility and the forms.
- 60 daysShip the first version of the employer tools and the introductions log.
- 90 daysOwn the lab dataset generator, with tests that keep its numbers consistent with the book.
What you'll need
- Three or more years building and shipping web applications, front end and back end.
- TypeScript or JavaScript, and a modern front-end framework such as React.
- A back end in Node.js or Python, and SQL you're comfortable designing and reading.
- Postgres, including schema design, migrations and access control.
- Git, code review and continuous integration.
- Clear written English, and some daily overlap with colleagues in India and US Pacific time.
Nice to have
- Supabase, including row-level security and storage.
- GitLab CI/CD.
- Web accessibility.
- Generating realistic test data.
- An interest in education, hiring or project management.

About Gantt Guild
Gantt Guild runs the Operator Program, a free, 26-week program in project and product management for people in the United States. Students run four projects through a full fiscal year, in the tools real companies use, and are reviewed live every week. Employers pay a flat placement fee when they hire a graduate, and we also earn from Graduate Support and team training. We're a small, fully remote team, made in SF and Delhi.
Gantt Guild is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on evidence of skill and welcome applicants of every background. If you need an adjustment at any stage of hiring, write to hr@ganttguild.com.
